The volume already running on RIOO

Rent collected, units managed, tenants served, requests processed and communities supported. Every figure on this page should carry a date, a definition and its scope.

Why we date and define every number

A number without a definition isn't proof. "Units" can mean leasable units, doors or every space including parking. "Collected" can mean billed or received. We publish each figure with what it counts, when it was measured and where it applies, so you can compare it fairly.

Why do service requests and amenities belong in the numbers?

Service requests and amenities belong in the numbers because they show RIOO runs daily operations, not just the general ledger. 175K+ service requests means residents and technicians use RIOO's portals and mobile tools for real work, and 1,700+ amenities means clubhouses, parking and storage are booked and billed as records.

Many NetSuite-based property tools start and stop at accounting. Operational volume matters to evaluators because it signals that the maintenance and resident-facing parts of the platform have been exercised by large numbers of real users, across property types, with the costs of that work flowing through to vendor bills and the ledger.

In detail

How do teams put by the numbers into practice?

Teams put by the numbers into practice by configuring RIOO to their own policies, training each role on real scenarios and starting with one property or workflow before rolling out further. The examples below show how that typically looks, from set-up to day-to-day use, and which team owns each part of the work.

Vendor statistics can be useful, but only when you understand them. When you see a figure like "units managed" or "rent collected," ask:

We'll publish each RIOO figure with those answers. Until then, every number on this page is marked for confirmation.

Volume shows that a platform runs real portfolios in production. It doesn't tell you whether the platform fits your property types, entity structure or workflows. For that, the most reliable test is a demo using your own scenarios.

Each figure will be published with its date and definition.

What exactly is counted?

Units, doors, beds, homesites or every leasable space? Definitions vary widely: a student housing bed, a manufactured housing homesite and a commercial suite are all counted differently. Check the definition before comparing figures, because the same portfolio can look much larger under one counting rule than under another.

When was it measured?

A figure from two years ago describes a different company. Look for the date a statistic was measured and whether it has been updated since, because portfolios grow, shrink and change mix, and a vendor's customer base can shift markedly between one funding round, acquisition or product release and the next.

Where does it apply?

One country, one region or worldwide? A figure that combines every market can hide how small the presence is in yours. Ask for the breakdown by country or region that matters to you, and whether local requirements such as tax, deposits and payment methods are supported there.

Is it cumulative or current?

"Requests processed" over all time differs from per year. Cumulative totals only ever rise, so they say little about current activity. Ask whether a figure is a running total since launch or a current, annual or monthly measure, and compare like with like across every vendor you evaluate.

Who verified it?

Company-stated, customer-reported or independently audited? Most vendor statistics, ours included, are company-stated. That does not make them wrong, but it changes how much weight they should carry. Ask how each figure was calculated and whether a customer reference can confirm it for a portfolio similar to yours.

Use cases

How do figures like these compare across property software vendors?

Vendor statistics are rarely measured the same way. Comparing RIOO's figures with those published by Yardi, AppFolio, Entrata, MRI or Buildium means checking the definition first. Definitions of units, rent collected and customers differ, so read the footnotes and ask each vendor the same five questions before drawing conclusions about relative scale.

01

Units versus doors versus beds

Student housing counts beds; manufactured housing counts homesites; commercial portfolios often count square feet. Totals across types are not like for like.

02

Collected versus processed

Some vendors quote payments processed through their own payment rails; others quote rent billed. RIOO's figure refers to monthly rent.

03

Customers versus properties

A single enterprise customer may run hundreds of properties; customer counts and property counts answer different questions.

04

Geography

RIOO's unit figure is described on riooapp.com as across the US and Canada, while customers also operate in the UK, Australia, Singapore and the UAE.

Other figures in circulation

A RIOO video description references teams managing 150,000+ homes across 1,500+ communities, and older content references 100+ API integrations and a 16-week implementation. These conflict with figures above and shouldn't be reused without reconciliation.

What do RIOO's platform figures measure?

RIOO's platform figures measure activity running through RIOO on NetSuite: $160M+ in monthly rent, 180k+ units, 400K+ tenants and occupants, 175K+ service requests, 650+ communities and 1,700+ amenities. Each figure describes production portfolios, not pilots, and each counts a specific record type held in customers' NetSuite accounts.

The figures are useful in two ways. They show the volume RIOO handles every month, and they show the breadth of record types the platform is built around: rent charges and receipts, unit records, people, maintenance requests, communities and amenity bookings. They do not, on their own, show whether RIOO suits a particular portfolio.

Which record sits behind each number?

Each RIOO figure counts a specific NetSuite record type: rent figures count posted charges and receipts, unit figures count unit records, and service request figures count maintenance requests and work orders. Knowing the record behind a number tells you what the figure proves about the platform, and what it does not prove.

Using these figures responsibly

Who does whatYour teamRIOOPartnerProject kickoffACRData extractRCIConfigurationCRIUser testingRCIGo-live sign-offARCRResponsibleAAccountableCConsultedIInformed
  • Quote the figure exactly as published, with "+" where shown, and do not round up.
  • Name the source as riooapp.com and the date you retrieved it.
  • Do not combine RIOO figures with figures from other organisations into a single total.
  • Do not present company-reported figures as independently audited.
  • Pair a figure with its definition when the reader may misunderstand it, for example units versus beds.

What the numbers do NOT tell you

Platform figures do not tell you how RIOO handles your specific lease clauses, entity structure or local regulations. A large unit count says nothing about whether straight-line rent, CAM reconciliation or a UK deposit protection workflow is configured the way you need it, and that can only be established in a scenario-based demo.

They also do not describe implementation effort or cost for your portfolio. Those depend on data quality, the number of subsidiaries and integrations, and how many processes you want to change at go-live. Treat the figures as evidence of production scale, then test fit with your own data in a tailored RIOO demo.

FAQ

By the numbers FAQs

Still curious? Ask the team.

Are these numbers audited?

The figures are company-reported, drawn from RIOO platform data and published on riooapp.com. They have not been presented as independently audited, so cite them as RIOO-reported figures. Each figure will carry its measurement date and definition on this page, which lets readers judge what is counted and when.

Why do figures differ across RIOO content?

Figures differ because older RIOO content measured different things at different times, such as homes versus units, or communities defined in different ways. This page is the reference point: where another RIOO page, video or brochure shows a different number, the figure published here with its date and definition takes precedence.

Can I cite these figures?

Yes. You can cite the figures on this page as RIOO-reported, quoting them exactly as published, for example 180k+ units or $160M+ in monthly rent. Include riooapp.com as the source and the date you accessed it, and avoid combining RIOO figures with numbers from other vendors into a single total.

What do they mean for my portfolio?

The figures show RIOO runs large production portfolios every month, across rent, units, residents and maintenance. They do not show whether RIOO fits your property types, lease clauses or entity structure. The reliable test is a scenario-based demo using your own leases, charges and reports, followed by a scoped proposal.

Is $160M+ the amount of rent RIOO collects itself?

No. The $160M+ monthly figure describes rent managed through RIOO in customers' NetSuite accounts, not funds held by RIOO. Rent is paid by tenants through the payment gateway each customer chooses, such as Cardknox, AsiaPay or Cybersource, and settles to the customer's own bank account before it is applied to tenant ledgers.

What does 52+ states mean?

The 52+ figure is reproduced from riooapp.com and describes the geographic spread of properties managed on RIOO. Because it exceeds the 50 US states, it likely includes territories, districts or provinces, and RIOO will publish the exact definition alongside the figure. Until then, quote it as published rather than as US states only.
